Urgent Customer Advisory – Issue identified with the 23.12 Narrative Reporting Smart View Extension.

Due to an issue identified with the 23.12, Oracle recommends customers do not upgrade their Narrative Reporting Smart View extension at this time and remain on their currently install version of the extension.

The 23.12 Smart View extension includes a change in behavior with the Doclet Check in process. Users can bypass the Style Sample or Slide Master attribute dialog and directly check in a Microsoft Word or PowerPoint Doclet when they use the Upload and Check In option on the Check In button in the Narrative Reporting ribbon in Smart View.

ISSUE:

Within Microsoft Word Doclets, the revised Upload and Check in option inadvertently clears any prior attribute overrides and applies all Style Sample settings to the Doclet, altering the document contents. The two-step Doclet Check in process of using the Upload then Check In actions continues to function properly and is not affected by this change of behavior.

Howdy, Stranger!
