Can a Legal Entity be associated to a Ledger where Legal Entity's country is different from Ledger?

Summary: I have a requirement - We have a LE that do not record much transactions and Business do not want a separate ledger to be defined for it. Question: Can we associate the LE (eg: Registered in Hongkong) to a US Primary Ledger?

Since Ledgers are defined basically for the combination of the 4 Cs. If there is NO specific Reporting and Accounting standard requirements, I do not see any direct restriction defined in the system from stopping the ability to associate the Hongkong registered LE to US Ledger. However, it doesn't make sense in terms of how the transactions will be recorded? The ledger is enabled for Foreign Currency Transaction processing. So, system will allow me to enter transactions in HKD currency. But what other implications should I think through?

Howdy, Stranger!
