Negative Carryover expiring before expiration limit

Summary:

Hi,

I have a plan with Carryover expiration as 3 years. (Plan term yearly from Sep-Aug)

Accrual flat: 36

As on 31/08/24: Absence 40, Accrual 38.96 (so balance 1.04)

As on 01/09/24(New Year Period): Periodic Accrual 36 + Carryover -1.04= 34.96 So far good

As on 01/09/25(New Year Period): Periodic Accrual 36 + Carryover 36 = 72, this is my issue , what's happening is negative carryover -1.04 is getting Forfeitured (where as it should expired on 01/09/2027), and balance is calculating differently.

If Carryover is positive, then its getting expired properly after 3 years. I do not find understand why the negative carryover is getting Forfeitured.

Can anyone please advise if this is intended behaviour.

Howdy, Stranger!
