How to handle Approval delegation in case of Custom Approval.

Is it possible to use the Standard Proxy approval setup (BPM Worklist) on Custom Inspection Approval which will be built as part of Add-On Components?

 Example: Receipt Inspection approval is custom, but can it use the Standard Functionality of Approval Proxy setup - BPM Worklist > Preferences > My Rules?
