Summary: Need to Effective Date Change an Element Frequency Rule for Existing Element

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information): A pretax deduction Element was created with a frequency rule to process during Period 1 and Period 2 based on Payroll Run Date for a Payroll with a payroll frequency = Biweekly.

The requirement is to end that as of 12/31/2023 and effective 1/1/24 have the element process during Period 1, Period 2, and Period 3.

Using Edit > Update of the Element resulted in effective dated records as expected but the updated change to the frequency rule behaved as if it were done as a correction as both effective dated records reflect the element frequency rule for Periods 1, 2, and 3.  The system is then processing retroactive deductions for the months where there were three pay runs for employees that had the deduction taken for only 2 pay runs in that month at the time it was originally processed.

Howdy, Stranger!
