Is there any other source to assign approval group to the human task for approval otherthan IDCS

Hi i need to assign a group of people for the approval which is create in IDCS and then i have called that group into the human task

is there any other alternative other than IDCS to invoke particular users as a group in to human task

and also how to know the approver who is approved from the group of people
