Annual leave balance did not deduct few days from the absence duration

Summary:

Employee has applied for 16 days of absence from 12 Jan2023 - 2nd Feb 2023, considering the Friday and Saturday as weekends.(i.e. 14 days from Jan and 2 days from Feb)

But from the balance, it has deducted only 12.5 days. When checked from the accrual plan balances details - it did not deduct the absence leave from 26th Jan, 29th Jan and 30th Jan, 2nd Feb only 0.5 day.

Please help me on what could be the issue.
