The Resource Information on Manage Users Task is it flowing in from Resource Directlory

Summary: The resource Information present in the Manage users Task in Setups, is it flowing in from Resource Directory?

If we add a Resource Role in the Resource Information section in Manage Users, does it add the user in the Resource directory as well?

So if we add this Resource Information in the Manage Users task, we can directly search and add the users as Party Contacts in a Cotract Record? Please do let me know.
