Maximum Number of assets in capex module

Summary:

My client is a capital-intensive company with around 2.5 million active existing assets. We are worried about the impact it will have on application performance. I wanted to understand if anyone has worked with such a huge volume of assets in the OOTB capex module in EPBCS. Even though Asset is a sparse dimension, I am worried about the time it might take to run the rules for depreciation etc. If it is not doable, what is the approach you have taken during the implementation?
