Create accounting does not pick the costed transactions and accounts- cost distributions successful

An organization is enabled for both MFG as well as maintenance. When create accounting is run, only MFG transactions are populated with accounting entries. All maintenance transactions are neither errored nor populated with accounts. 'Not accounted'.

With everything else seems to be working okay since MFG transactions go through, why not maintenance transactions for the same org?

Any pointers please?
