How to create Work Order for KIT Item and process the resource cost to the KIT Item

Summary:

How to create Work Order for KIT Item and process the resource cost to the KIT Item when it is itself not sent through Sales Order to Customer, only the child components are picked and ship confirmed for the KIT. Kit Item itself should not exist in the system and only its items as per the OM Shipping of Kits. Please share how we can process the KIT BOM in Manufacturing as it will actually create the Inventory of KIT Item.
