How to terminate pending worker profile with action as "Convert Pending Worker"

On production, there is this employee (for which few corrections were done, wherein the person was wrongly hired on different Legal Employer, also hired on incorrect start date, hence as per correction, the below procedure followed in order to correct the data record:

>Canceled the existing employee relationship

>Reversed terminated the pending worker record in order to correct the hire date and so the pending worker record becomes active.

>From active "Pending Workers" tile, choose action "Employment start date" and choose the actual hire date of employee and so after the approval, projected start date got changed in the pending worker profile. Didn't choose "Convert" action in the "Pending Worker" profile in order to avoid taking the Legal Employer displaying at the "Pending Worker" level which is the incorrect one.
