Is there a way to eliminate the standard pop up that says the the maximum number of char is 256?

we have a standard text field Legal Office Address:

And we limited its number of characters to 60. However, we still have the standard pop up that says that the max number of characters is 256. Is there a way to eliminate it or to change the content of the pop up in order to change 256 to 60 characters?
