Copy Journal function

in Financial Consolidation and Close 2 comments

Summary:

i have two different consolidation nodes in our FCCS application. Many entities exist on both these 2 consolidation nodes.

When i use copy journal functionality , for example from Jun to Sep 2023, Fccs assigns the first parent of Metadata Hierarchy to the Journal.

See this example : "IT02" company is below "Group_ALFA" ( first conso node) and below "Group_BETA" (second conso node). Below Group BETA is "shared".

On Sep 23 i made a Journal Contribution Input on "IT02" below "Group_BETA"; so my parent child relationship on Sep 23 is : "Group_BETA.IT02". When i run copy Journal to Dec-23 this journal is copied below "Group_ALFA" so we found the journal copied on "Group_ALFA.IT02" while we would expect this journal to be copied into the same source parent, "Group_BETA.IT02".
