Reversed Global Transfer Work Relationship but Assignment is still showing active.

Summary:

We had Global transferred one employee to new Legal Entity. But later on we decided to reverse that transaction. So we cancelled the new Work relationship. Then we went to old assignment's termination to reverse terminate that but "reverse terminate" button was not there.

We checked in Employment info and found that Global transferred assignment is still showing as active.

When we try to open this active assignment it shows the following error: You can't load the work relationship record because the person record doesn't exist. (PER-1531678)

We are confused how to fix this issue, we cannot cancel the Work relationship of new assignment as we are getting above error in Cancel Work relationship page as well.
