Need help in to recover the ones that failed to reprocess through updated approval config

We are currently in Go Live support and there are nearly 400 failed status transactions in PROD for change personal information workflow. Now, we fixed the error and tested in dev3 and it is working fine also and migrated the changes to PROD. Before communicate to our Client we have to terminate these transactions and then resubmit by each employee/initiator, can you please let us know the profile options or methods to recover the ones that failed to reprocess through updated approval config?
