MFG: How I can issue new serial number when performing returns?

We have requirement to assign new serial numbers to the components when perform de-kitting of boxed item.

We are trying to perform de-kitting of boxed item via orderless returns but are require to provide existing serial numbers. Instead, the requirement is to provide new serial numbers to the components. Any thoughts on how we can achieve this functionality?
