How to stop Project Timecard FYIs without suppressing Payroll Timecard FYIs (Approval Notifications)

Summary: Due to auto-approval of the ProjectTimecardApproval task, employees receive immediate FYI notifications that their timecard has been approved after submitting. This is confusing for them as their time card is really still in Submitted status. However, suppressing the TimecardApprovalFYI also stops FYIs for the TimecardApproval task (including if a timecard is rejected). Is there a way to suppress Project Timecard FYIs without stopping the other timecard FYIs?

We use the combined Payroll and Project Time Layout Set for all employees. We have our Payroll Timecard Approval task route to Line Manager, and the Project Timecard Approval tasks set to auto-approve. Configuration summary:
