EPBCS - Data Audit enable and the space utilization

Summary:

We are recently planning to enable the data audit feature of EPBCS, However, we are little concerned over the space the app will consume.

As data audit info will be stored in the relational database(I guess). Any idea, 1 - how much the app size will bump up per cells? 2 - Will the data audit(once enabled) impact the performance of the rules or data retrival etc?
