Add new subscription product to existing RMCS contract

Is there a way to ensure new products added to a subscription that have already interfaced to RMCS and created a customer contract are created as a new performance obligation on that already existing contract?

Example - a subscription has been created, sent to RMCS, and some amount of revenue has been recognized against the products that were added to this subscription initially. Later, a new product is added to the subscription, but when running ESS programs to send this data to RMCS a new revenue contract is created.
