Absence Planning - Display All Reports?

In 23C - "ABSENCE PLANNING FOR MANAGERS

Empower line managers to review absences of all their direct reports efficiently using the new Absence Planning task. They can now quickly approve or reject absence, and review absence requests that are in conflict with absences of others on the team. They also have the option to review the absences in a timeline view that provides a visual representation of absence requests, aiding in better decision-making."

Is it possible to display all reports and not just direct reports? Is there set up required for it to show full hierarchy?
