Probation End Date Calculation

Currently the Probation End Date is calculated from the Hire Date of employee basis the probation period. However in our case, probation starts after the contract end date for contract type employees.


For example, contract type employee on 2 years of contract-->

Hire Date - 01/02/2020

Contract Start Date - 01/02/2020

Contract End Date - 01/02/2022

Probation Period - 1 Year


By default, Probation End Date - 01/02/2021 (if we enter probation period as 1 Year)

Here as per our business policy it should be 01/02/2023. Due to this we have to enter the probation period as '3 Years'.

And, we have to keep increasing the probation period in case of contract extensions, which is not right.
