Requestor cancelling Requisition that is assigned PO and status on Req not changing from Approved.

The Requestor of a requisition cancels the requisition after it has been assigned a Purchase Order. The status of the PO changes to "Cancelled" but the requisition status still stays in "Approved". How is the Requestor supposed to know that the Requisition line(s) has been cancelled if there is no status change? Is this standard functionality?

I saw a similar question asked here - Backing Requisition status not change to Cancelled when PO was cancelled — Cloud Customer Connect ( The question revolved around Buyer initiated Cancel. The one I am raising revolves around Requestor initiated cancel.
