How can users continue to retrieve data using Smartview when the application is in maintenance mode?

Hello, Our users need to be trained for the redwood theme look anf feel. Meantime, we need some users to connect to the cubes to retrieve data. Is there a role that allows users to connect to the cubes even though the planning application is in maintenance mode?

Please let us know what option we have to handle this situation.
