Is there a way to default start date when you create a position?

Summary:

When we create a new position, the default start date is today. Is there a way to make it automatically default to a specific generic date? We create all our positions to start on a generic date in the past i.e. something like 1/01/1960. This way we can see what the position was from the start and easily contrast when updates are made. Our P&C Team would like to eliminate the step of having to change from the defaulted current date to just be the standard generic past date we use.

Or is our only option to submit a use case to create an autocomplete rule?

Howdy, Stranger!
