Unable to delete/modify a custom Period member in FCCS

Summary:

I have a custom Period member which is a child of the dimension. The member also had children that were moved under a different parent. I would like to delete this member or edit it. I am unable to delete/edit or even move back the children that were originally under this member. Any thoughts on how this can be resolved?
