Employee details are not visible in connections page with Custom role

Summary:

Hi Team,

With Custom Employee role, employee is able to search for other Employees in the organization but not able to see any other details like Organization chart or About me or any other information.

Custom Employee role does not have Public person access. And as per my knowledge that the display of content is not based on the Public person access in Connections. Please let us know if my understanding is wrong and the access will come with only Public person access.
