Any infrastructure/performance related benefits in migrating from EPBCS to Enterprise Planning?

Appreciate Enterprise has a lot more to offer than legacy SKUs but what I want to know is, is the underlying infrastructure identical or scaled differently as EPBCS had a 150Gb limit (albeit not always enforced). Are there capabilities in Enterprise Planning that could be used to improve performance, without re-building the application from scratch at this time?
