How to determine a field size

In Oracle Fusion, I find it difficult, if not impossible, to easily find out how much text can be put in any given field.

We are relatively new to Oracle Fusion, so can someone please point me in the right direction? EG for Quality, we have a field for "Expected Improvement" on the screen. How would I go about finding out the max # of characters that can be entered in that field?
