Daily rate (salary basis in salary grades) not available in Workforce module EPM Cloud Planning

Summary:

The daily rate isn't available to choose in the Salary Grades when setting assumptions for salary calculations.

The out of the box Smart List, called Salary basis doesn't include the daily rate. The smart list is locked and no option to extend.

Can anyone please advise why the daily option is not available or is there any workaround (other than the obvious to just calculate offline and enter the converted hourly rate)?
