Impact of changing the Item Catalog from Org Level to Master Level

Hi,

We have the Catalog which is assigned to Costing functional area at org level and we want to change that one to Master Level.

So, can we change this catalog maintain level from org to master? Also, what is the impact on the items which is already valued and costed because of this change.
