edited Mar 1, 2024 10:44AM in Linux

Applies To:

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - Version N/A and later

Linux x86-64

GOAL

When a linux system runs into unforeseen hang or crash or performance issue, some logs/information are needed for root cause analysis and most of these logs are generated by service/scripts which need to be installed/run on a Linux instance. By default Oracle Provided images have the required services enabled and configured, so a configuration change /update is required on the instance created using custom image.

Solution

The below mentioned service logs are helpful for root cause analysis, so here we can see references on how and on what circumstances to collect these logs.
