Validation of DFF field and making it mandatory based on item type

We are capturing the Lot length and width as DFF in the Lot Page along with its UOM at the time of PO Receipt. We have the below 2 requirements

- The Lot Length and Width DFF should be made mandatory based on User Item Type

- The value entered in the Lot Length and Width field should be validated against the Lot quantity before saving
