Hey PBCS Super Users -

What is the best practice for preserving data when tree structures change? I'm curious to know how others have solved the scenario below, and how you would advise making the following changes.

BACKGROUND

We are working on a structure change for our FY25 Budget that will impact an existing L3 member by breaking out the lump sum into more granular drivers (Future State L4):

ASSUMPTIONS

My assumption is that once I change the current state Store to Dynamic, data will be lost in "Lump Sum Driver" A.1 and A.2 for previous budget years.

QUESTIONS:

  • Will changing the Member to Dynamic Calc and Store preserve previously calculated values?
