How can we default value from Sales Contracts DFF to SO EFF attribute?

Summary:

We have a requirement to populate the Sales Order EFF attribute through Sales Contracts DFF value. So, whenever we using Sales agreement in the SO then the respective DFF value in the contract need to populate at the Sales Order EFF attribute. Someone please guide us on this? Please help us to get sample extension code/PVO details?
