Guidance/Best Practice on Number of Demand Plan Archives for Forecast Accuracy
Summary:
Hi there, we are seeking advice from Oracle Demand Management Cloud product development on the max number of demand plan archives that can be stored in Demand Management for one Demand Plan and to be used in customer-specific forecast accuracy metrics.
Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):
Customer has a requirement to show Forecast Accuracy for the past 15 demand planning cycles (archives).
Their demand planning cycle is monthly and the demand plan is archived at the end of each month.
They want to measure forecast accuracy between Final Shipments Forecast 3 months out from Demand Plan run month against Bookings (Booked Item by Requested Date) for the same month. i.e. Final Shipments Forecast generated in Oct 2023 for month Jan 2024 (3 months out). Now we are in February 2024 we have all the Bookings for Jan 2024. Forecast accuracy can now be measured against bookings for Jan 2024. They want to view these for the previous 15 demand plans (last 15 months). What is the guidance on the max. number of archives that can be stored without impeding performance
