Changing the gender in responsive UI

Is there an easier way to change the gender on the new UI? Every time I try and change the gender the field doesn't allow me to do so and I have to go through the process of submitting an empty entry, going back to the two pervious ones and then assigning the correct gender. After that, I need to delete the one that is incorrect. I have migrated test env to seniority dates v3 and this issue still persists. Is there easier way of changing gender in responsive UI?
