Oracle Cloud Order Management Backorder Scenario using OTM is erroring out

Summary:

A sales order that is planned fully in OTM is short shipped at the ERP during ship confirmation. unable to add the back order shipment line to the newly created in ERP.

Please see the below flow

  1. A Sales order with an Item A of 10 qtys is created and submitted in ERP (Oracle Order Management Cloud)
  2. The sales order detail is interfaced to OTM where the order release is created
  3. OTM plans the shipment and the planned shipment details are interfaced to ERP. the Shipment is created in Oracle Inventory Management cloud.
