Why is barcodes not getting scanned in RF-Smart handheld scanner ?

We have modified the standard Print Pick Slip report to add a custom template, type RTF and output PDF, and added barcodes to it with IDAutomationC128S as the font style for all the barcodes. We also added the TTF file in the Font Mappings of Administration section of the Catalog

But once the report was generated, the client was not able to scan it with the RF-Smart handheld scanner.

On the recommendation of client, we changed the font style to Code 128. But the result was same when the report was generated.

Finally we tried using BC 3of9 , another in-house barcode font style of Microsoft, and generated the report. Again , the scanner was not able to read it.
