Insight (OBIEE) - how to fix a dbase field not showing

Hi all, I will explain what was the issue we came accross in case someone has a similar problem and after that the solution, which is very simple. Hope this may help someone at some point to avoid a lot of headaches.

The issue:

Recently we noticed an Eloqua field, from our contact dbase not showing in OBIEE. We tried everything, including reaching out to Oracle through a SR, which ended going to the center of excellence to have their support.

The outcome, since the implementer changed the type of out of the box field from "text-opentext" to "text-picklist", that caused OBIEE to "unrecgonize" it, the only solution, create a new field and migrate all the dependecies. I did that and once I finish I changed the now "old" field name to avoid using it in the future.
