Linkedin Learning

edited Mar 28, 2024 3:45PM in Learning 9 comments

It’s been 7 months we are live with Oracle Learning Cloud. We have LinkedIn Learning as one of the Learning External Providers. LinkedIn was initially set up when we went live allowing administrators to import content as needed instead of importing the entire catalog.

We noticed that ESS Job - Load and Synchronize External Course Data process was not scheduled, so therefore the catalog of available courses has not been updating. When we ran the process, it only brought in some courses, not all of the courses that was missing since go-live.

We connected with LinkedIn expert, and they confirmed that to refresh the LMS catalog and bring in all missing LIL content, a full catalog sync is required. Once the full sync is completed, given LIL publishes\updates 30-60 courses per week on average, it is recommended the LMS retrieve updated content on a monthly basis if not weekly or daily.

Howdy, Stranger!
