Has anyone converted their contingent worker population to non-workers (not managed by HR)?

Summary:

Hi Everyone,

Currently, we have thousands of contingent workers in our Cloud HCM system. A portion of these workers, such as contractors, service providers, or other staff members, are technically not employed by our company.

For this specific group:

  1. HR does not maintain their data.
  2. They are not involved in performance evaluations, compensation processes, or any other employee-related activities.
  3. Their presence in HCM is solely for badging purposes, which involves sending their account information to downstream systems and keeping systems in sync.

We are considering converting these contingent workers and hiring them as "Non-Workers, Not Managed by HR".

Before proceeding, are there any potential reasons not to move forward with this solution? Additionally, are there any other impacts or considerations we should take into account?

Howdy, Stranger!
