Item Attribute to control Pick Release

Prevent Items from getting Pick Released

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

We have a business requirement that during new product launch the item should be orderable in sales order but pick release should not happen for certain days. Also all other transactions are allowed.

We are not able to achieve this requirement since in PIM we don't have any attribute which prevents the items from getting pick released.

Has anyone come across such requirement ? If it should be a new feature kindly see if it has to be taken as an enhancement request.
