Auto Approve Procurement Contract Amendment from REST API

Requirement is to amend procurement contract via REST API where the amount and end date of contracts will be updated and then submitted (which routes it via the standard contract approval rules). Is there an attribute to use that will facilitate auto-approval of the amendment if amendment is via REST API?
