Planning and Forecast Preparation configuration changes in Financials when Workforce updated

Summary:

We have Weekly planning enabled in Financials. In Planning and Forecast Preparation for Financials, Forecast is set as Weekly with 2 years. In Workforce, Forecast was set as 2 years, but when it is changed to any other number of years, it is adversely affecting Financials. Financials became 6 years with a mixture of Weekly and Monthly. This should not be happening, changes to one modules years and frequency should be independent of the other modules. It appears to be a bug.

Has anyone else encountered this behavior?
