Is it possible to assign the same offering to the same employee?

For example, HR Admin created Offering Learning Assignment to Employee > The HR Admin completes the Learning Assignment for Employee, therefore the assignment now has a "Complete" status > HR Admin creates another Learning Assignment of the same Offering to the same Employee but with different start dates and due dates. The expected status should be Not Started. However, the new assignment from the same offering still shows the status as Complete even when having a different start date and due date from the prior assignment.
