UPS soap to rest transition

Hello,

I'm looking for some feedback from anyone who has transitioned from the legacy UPS SOAP webservice integration to the new RESTful integration. When we transition, do we need to setup a new ship via to avoid issues with in process shipments? Or can we change the current ship via over to the RESTful integration and if the tracking was originally called using the SOAP interfaced but we need to close the manifest using the RESTful integration, will it succeed?
