How to give access to other employees that have approval duties to my team

Is there a way with less record maintenance to give access to other employees within a department that have shift duties within the store, but are not general managers?
Right now we have the general manager assigned as the line manager for all employees within X department. But we have other employees such as the Assistant Manager and Shift Supervisor (that are not assigned as employee line manager), for which we want them to have access to the My Team > My Team, and be able to see employees within the same department in the view, and perform duties the General Manager could perform, without having to delegate each time. Since General Manager is not always in the store, it all depends on the shift assigned to the employees
