How to update PMAC value adjustment which got processed without account

User had created a value adjustment using PMAC, forgot to give account and submitted. Adjustment was processed, got costed. When we run accounting in draft, this particular transaction ended up in error and we are not able to edit the adjustment since period is in Closed Status. How can we rectify this and proceed with period closure.
