Number of counts not accurate in Cycle count generation

Summary:

We have defined cycle count to run "By period" and the frequency is "monthly". The ABC criteria defined is "On-hand value". But recently, we've seen that the number of items that get generated are very less and therefore, would like to know the answers on the below questions:

We've some questions/clarifications on the cycle count generation:

1. On Oracle SR we received the formula for cycle count:  (Number of Items from class * Number of counts per year)/13. This formula doesn't seem to work and doesn't match with the output that we get while generating the counts. The formula is only applicable when the cycle count runs for the first time. After that, for next period the items are generated based on the on-hand & the counts per year defined for each class.
